Fort he first time the farmers and the commerce have a certification of “WATER SUSTAINABILITY AND IRRIGATION EFFICIENCY” which requirements are the same as for efficient irrigation.
The water footprint measures the amount of water used to produce each of the goods and services we use. It can be measured for a single process, such as growing rice, for a product, such as a pair of jeans, for the fuel we put in our car, or for an entire multi-national company.
The water footprint can also tell us how much water is being consumed by a particular country – or globally – in a specific river basin or from an aquifer. The water footprint allows us to answer a broad range of questions for companies, governments and individuals
HH is made up of 3 types of water
It is the volume of precipitation water that is evaporated in the production process or incorporated into the product.
It is the volume of fresh water extracted from a body of surface or groundwater and that is evaporated in the production process or incorporated into the product.
It is a virtual volume of water required to dilute contaminants to the point where water quality is above acceptable standards.
